Avoiding Arena

Hearthstone Arena looks like trash so I’m not going to bother with it.

All I really learned this week is that if I spent all night fucking around with my friend IRL, I don’t get enough rest and it spoils my ability to do anything for the rest of the week. I need to be more responsible with my IRL friend time.

Thursday ended up being the “long stream” again, and I beat Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice in a single sitting.

This makes it the third game I’ve completed on stream. Things in threes tend to stand out to me, so here are the things I’ve noticed about all three games:

  1. Female protagonist
  2. Easy non-combat situations (I would say puzzles but one game was more about resource management) in which overthinking made it harder than it actually was
  3. I didn’t win because I was good, but because I was pissed off with the game and persevered

Right now I’m looking at Fallout: New Vegas mods and considering doing a playthrough of that.

I also had some requests to play Seiken Densetsu 3, and I found an english-translated ROM of that to play. The scene setup for it in Xsplit took remarkably little time.

I realized this morning that I’ve been skipping my morning pills for the last three days. This probably explains why I’ve been so exhausted and my hair has been falling out, and not just that I had a particularly harrowing Tuesday.
